Physical property

It is a white to pale yellow crystalline powder with a sour and astringent taste. It is readily soluble in water and ethanol, sparingly soluble in diethyl ether and chloroform, and reacts with alkalis.

Product application

1. As a high-efficiency methyl donor, it can partially replace methionine and choline chloride, reducing feed costs. Its biological potency is equivalent to three times that of DL-methionine and 1.8 times that of 50% choline chloride.

2. It promotes fat metabolism, increases the lean meat ratio of livestock and poultry, improves meat quality, and reduces the feed conversion ratio (FCR).

3. It possesses feeding attraction activity, enhances the palatability of feed, and serves as an ideal feeding-promoting and growth-promoting additive for livestock, poultry and aquatic animals.

4. It acts as a buffer for abrupt changes in osmotic pressure. It can improve the adaptability to ecological environment changes such as cold, heat and disease processes, and increase the survival rate of juvenile fish and shrimp.

5. It maintains intestinal function and has a synergistic effect with anticoccidial drugs.

6. It is widely used as an important pharmaceutical and chemical raw material.
